Years half over

Today is Calebs birthday! He is 17, hard to believe! He has sure done a lot of growing this year, but physically and Spiritually. I am proud of the young man he is becoming!

So much has happened that I am sure I will leave a ton out. We had a wonderful time while Megan (One of Nancy's and now all of our friends) came to see us for 2 weeks. It was nice having another girl in the house for a while.  She was a real blessing to all of us! We are busy getting last minute things done for Kris and Amber's wedding next Saturday! WOW in one week I will have 2 married sons! Another hard to believe thing!!! I am so blessed that they will both be close by at least for a while. Kris may be going back to Heartland Baptist Bible college next spring. We will see where the Lord leads. We are still looking for a pastor. We have a candidate here right now. He is nice but I am not sure he is the man for our church. Still praying........................ Oh for a family on fire for the Lord!!!

I see all around me how even as Christians we have our views skewed by the world. Seems like I hear all the time how kids are an annoyance or that a woman just could not handle the kids so she went to work. Oh how it breaks my heart to hear people say that children get in the way. What a wonderful, awesome, blessing it is to have children!!!! There is a family we have met that tells their children that the oldest is the reason they had more children, but their 3rd child is the reason they are not having more children. Oh how upsetting that is to hear!! The first child is developing pride while the last child is developing a very poor self image, one of no value! How can these parents not see that??????? Babies are great (Lord you know I want several more!) but what a joy and blessing older children can be!!! Oh how we need to teach our children to stand strong for the Lord, we need to teach them share their beliefs, how to love others and treat them with value!!! It breaks my heart when young ladies do not see that their value comes from submitting to their parents so that later they can submit to their husbands! How wonderful it is to not just wear dresses or skirts but to truly embrace the wonderful blessing of being a "Lady with a capitol L" as my mom used to tell me. We do not have to be like men! We are not to be like men! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! We need to teach young men how to submit to their parents too, so that they learn to follow before learning to lead. We need to teach them that families do not just "know" what they should know, that is needs to be taught. We need to train the boys on how to teach others. We were sitting in the living room this past week and got out my lap top with e Sword on it and looked up verses about what is an abomination to the Lord. It was great and we need to look deeper. But ladies wearing mens clothing and men wearing ladies clothing is not just wrong, but it is an ABOMANATION TO THE LORD!!!! WOW Do you see how we as the world has changed that????? Did you know that an unbalanced life is also an ABOMANATION TO TJHE LORD, as is lying???? Wow we do not see things the same way as our wonderful Savior! I really want to study that more.

I guess it is time I get off my hobby horse. See Megan I can up date! I made the cutes bath hand puppet this week and I will try to share that later this week. I will also share a photo of the quilt we are making for the newlyweds! We will have some out of town company this week, so that will be busy but fun! Nothing like a wedding to bring people to Oklahoma!

HAve a blessed week end!!

Yay! An update, and look, not even a month. hehe. Nancy told me about that discussion y'all had about the different things being an abomination to the Lord. That's awesome! It's so sad the way the world has intertwined it's way into an accepted way of living, even for the Christians! We've lost those traditional values we used to have, and it's heartbreaking. Well, as long as we know where we stand for Him, and hold firm to what we believe we will be blessed. We can't change the world

Thank you, again, for having me for 2 weeks, your family was a blessing I could never forget. I was truly able to grow while I was there, and it was nice to live with a family like one I've never experienced. I love you all so much! Don't get too stressed out about the wedding! Take a breather every once in a while, and don't forget to give bone-shattering hugs to your kids! hehe. Love ya, Megs

AMEN AMEN and AMEN! I really enjoyed this entry by you. It was a blessing. I just spent the past five days with an awesome family. They have six kids and all were homeschooled and raised right (all grown up now!) and I was so enjoying it! It's a real blessing to know there are still people that believe the right way. It gives me hope for myself, and for the family that I will God willing have one day!
